Practice sessions are at​

Columbus Avenue Church theCenter on Tuesday [map].
(SPECIAL NOTE: During January to March, 2024, Doris Miller Community Center is not available for our Saturday kendo classes. The Baylor Kendo Club is kindly making their Saturday practice open to Waco Kendo members and any Kendo practitioners. Please check our google calendar below for locations and time slots, or email wacokendo@gmail.com to confirm the schedule.)

There are three different sessions:

• beginners practice: In this session, we go over basics of kendo including reiho (etiquette), kamae (posture), ashisabaki (footwork), suburi (strike), so that you will be prepared to join the regular basic practice and later also advanced practice.

• Bogu basic practice: In this session, we work on kihon (basic) drills, with a focus on improving mechanics and overall endurance.

• Advanced practice: In this session, we tend to work on advanced basics, waza, and end with jigeiko.
